Convention Plant Creations, Inc. is changing our outlook on the environment for 2011. Your “purple shirted” plant team will be 75% greener by the end of the year. We are doing our part to help meet the US Environmental Protection Agency’s rule of REDUCE, REUSE, and RECYCLE.

Not only are we tying to change our carbon foot print, but we are also trying to raise awareness of the connection between the environment and the “stuff” people use, consume, recycle, and throw away.

Convention Plant Creations, Inc. has already begun making major changes in the way we do business with the environment . Not only are we about servicing our clients the best, we are also about making each event we produce more eco friendly.

REDUCE

Just a few examples of the many ways Convention Plant Creations will reduce our energy consumption and cuts back in 2011
- using sky lights as our major source of light in warehouse to reduce energy consumption
- using all “green” cleaning products all must come from renewable resources, be biodegradable and free of petrochemicals
- CPC warehouses are not equip with sprinkler systems, which drastically reduces our water waste
- we use eco friendly items, such as our plant shine and fertilizer products, which all are non toxic, fragrance free and bio degradable

REUSE

Convention Plant Creations has always reused items as much as possible. Not only do we reuse our plants for different shows, but we also reuse as many props, vases and containers wherever possible. Picking up all plants and flowers at the end of an event plays a big role in our reuse process, and also lets us cut many cost to our clients.
- all glass vases are reused whenever possible, reducing our cost and the amount of waste produces
- many props , like bamboo , are always kept for future use wherever possible
- we keep the soil from all plants

RECYCLE

Recycling many items after a tradeshow is very important to us. CPC not only gives back to the environment but also gives back to our communities as well. For many years now, CPC has donated numerous items to various parks, recreational areas, and convention centers. We have also taken part in many local recycling events around the city of New Orleans through out the years.
- our plastic inventory will consist of mostly 50% recycled material by the end of 2011,
- many plants are always donated to various community centers, convention centers, and parks
- every plastic container is either reused or recycled
- we recycle all the basics like cardboard, metal, paper, glass, and plastics in both offices, but we also go a step further and recycle printers, computers, toners, and copiers as well
- we are committed to purchasing material that contains a minimum of 10% post consumer recycled content

For instance, our new specialty containers contain more than 80% post consumer recycled material!
